This company dates back to the 1870’s. Their then-famous gothic design headquarters was located at 401 – 407 Chestnut Street, in Philadelphia. The 10-story high rise was built in 1890 and subsequently demolished in 1960.

The site is now the location of the Omni Independence Park Hotel.
