Seligman Select Municipal Fund, Inc. (Specimen)
Founded in 1864, J. & W. Seligman & Co. Incorporated is one of the nation's oldest investment firms. Institutional asset management at the firm dates back to 1957, and today Seligman manages more than $6.6 billion in assets for a wide array of public funds, corporations, Taft-Hartley plans, endowments, and foundations.

The Seligman Select Municipal Fund still exists today. It is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks high current income exempt from federal income taxes consistent with the preservation of capital and with consideration given to capital gains. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in tax-exempt municipal obligations that have maturities of one year or more and are rated AAA or are insured as to the timely payment of principal and interest. The Fund may leverage its assets through the issuance of preferred stock.
